Bill Hicks Brass, a classical brass ensemble, plays classical, baroque,
overtures, patriotic music and marches, depending on the mood you want to
create.
What is a brass quintet? A
typical brass quintet is a five-piece musical ensemble composed of brass
instruments. The most common instrumentation is two trumpets, one French horn,
one trombone, and one tuba or bass trombone. As an ensemble, the brass quintet
is very flexible, with a repertoire encompassing many musical genres.

For your next professional, business, social or civic event, consider a brass quintet of professional musicians.
The Bill Hicks Brass plays classical, baroque, overtures, patriotic music and marches, depending on the mood
you want to create. Led by Bill Hicks, former lead trumpeter of the Harry James Orchestra and a one-time member
of the U.S. Army Band, The Bill Hicks Brass uses musicians from central Pennsylvania who perform with the Harrisburg
Symphony, the Hershey Symphony, the Lancaster Symphony, area big bands, and who back up shows in the region.
As with Big Band Nostalgia's
other bands, you may customize the music to heighten the pleasure of your
guests or to emphasize a particular theme. Fanfares are also available for special announcements, award ceremonies or to hail the arrival of dignitaries
and special guests. Two to four herald trumpeters, clad in tails and white gloves, will make your announcement
something special and add a touch of class to your event. The Bill Hicks Brass can also add drummer to play rags and marches at grand openings or park concerts. The Bill Hicks Brass can also provide
a solo trumpet or two trumpeters for processional music at wedding
ceremonies. For garden ceremonies, The Bill Hicks Brass will employ
a keyboard player for your event to create the sound of an organ. At
formal weddings, The Bill Hicks Brass or trumpeters will work with your own church organist.
